Proprietress Jennifer Bjarnason began volunteering in the Campbell River Museum in 1991 due to her childhood fascination with indigenous cultural arts. In 2004, after many years working with indigenous artists, she opened Copper Moon Gallery in Coast Hotels Nanaimo. Due to the recession in 2008, Copper Moon Gallery closed and later transitioned to an online gallery.
Today, Jennifer splits her time between the magical highlands of Michoacan Mexico and supernatural British Columbia, Canada. With a passion for all things cultural and handmade, Jennifer collects art, handicrafts and jewellery on her travels through Mexico, and continues to work with artists on the Pacific Northwest Coast.
