SCULPIN

Shrouded in a cloak of spiny, sharp cheek and dorsal fins, the body of the sculpin is actually smooth.  As the round head and wide mouth is larger than the body of the fish, sculpins resemble a bullhead.  Perhaps due to their abundance, sculpin is associated with copper and wealth.  As sculpins dwell on the ocean floor, they inflate due to the pressure change when pulled to the waters surface.  It is interesting that sculpins are often depicted with Kingfisher and other powerful birds, as it would be impossible for such birds to dive deep enough, or sculpins to surface naturally.  Sculpin is also associated with medicine, and is sometimes featured with other powerful creatures.
