These enchanting masks are hand-embroidered by Sandra Servin of Tzintzuntzan, residing now in the Pueblo Magico of Patzcuaro. The depictions capture the daily life of indigenous peoples dwelling in the P'urepecha Highlands of Michoacan. These masks are made in two layers, but the back has an opening where one can place a filter. The mask has a bowl shape, making a pocket for easier breathing. These pieces are finished with ear elastics.
